Went to the Lucky Star for the first time yesterday... we only went for a takeaway, but we’re so impressed with the service and the restaurant ambience that we will definitely be coming back for a sit down meal. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food, which was excellent! Superb, top quality cuts of meat, cooked to perfection, at 61 years old I would say that the aforementioned, all combined to make one of the best Chinese restaurants I have had the pleasure to experience.
Visited Bon East to celebrate my husband ‘s birthday with 28 other guests yesterday . The staff had everything prepared in a lovely room iced water on the tables . Everybody was amazed by the excellent service and the food was freshly cooked and amazing more than plenty. Everybody was so impressed with the service and the food. Even though some people have put bad reviews we are so glad we ignored them and went with majority of good reviews. Thank so much for making our day excellent! We will be back.
The food we had it was very nice and tasty, as I expected from a Chinese restaurant. We had the Sunday buffet for 19 and we ended up very full and pleased with the food (drinks and desserts not included in the price). I definitely recommend this place and I will come back.
Just had an amazing meal for our son in laws 50th birthday. Food was hot delicious and good portion sizes.. The service was great and food delivered quite quick plus they were very busy with eat in and take aways. All staff were very attentive so we felt very welcome and were looked after all evening. Will definately go back and highly recommend it. The actual restaurant is spotlessly clean and lovely looking. Also tables are not squashed together like some restaurants do.

Lucky Star is a hidden gem for authentic Chinese food! It’s usually very quiet when dining in, but it’s absolutely worth visiting—especially on Sundays for the buffet. We always go all in on the starters, getting a mix of everything before moving on to the duck and pancakes, which are always perfectly cooked and delicious. The food arrives hot and fast, and the staff are super kind, always on hand for refills or clearing up. We’ve been coming here for years and will definitely keep coming back! Highly recommend.
Always incredible food! Delivery service is very good, even when they are busy (which is pretty much always) Filet of Beef Peking style, quarter duck and number 13 (I forget what's it's called) is my go to order. Also the Singapore rice is delicious
The best Chinese restaurant in town. Menu has a good variety, very tasty food, love the ambience, and lovely staff. We always received a fantastic service everytime we visit. Recommended this restaurant in a heartbeat.
